Sunday Faith Forum “Seeing God in the Universe”

Exoplanets, black holes, supernovae, dark matter, ingredients for life.  Our faith formation journey will take us through the solar system, into the Milky Way Galaxy, and beyond, to the edge of the universe, exploring the mysteries of creation. Join us this Sunday and January 18 at 9:15 am in Rooms 104/105 led by Michael Castelaz.

In our first session as we travel and reflect on the awe of those mysteries, we’ll ask: how do we know what we know? We will follow up in our second session with discussion of the search for other worlds that are habitable and what that means to us.

Michael Castelaz is Professor Emeritus of Physics, Brevard College, Brevard, NC.  An observational astronomer who studies the formation of stars and their lifetimes using ground-based and space-based telescopes. He is someone who enjoys sharing the astronomer’s view of the universe with people of any age.
