Choir
The Parish Choir is composed of student, volunteer, amateur and trained singers who provide musical leadership for the 10:30 Eucharist on Sundays as well as other special services throughout the year including Holy Days, Evensong and Lessons and Carols. The choir meets weekly on Wednesday’s in August through May at 7:00 PM in the choir room. The choir sings a variety of Sacred Music ranging from Gregorian Chant, to Tudor anthems, to newly composed music.

Friends of Music
Friends of Music is a supporting fund for the music at St. John’s. Funds raised help assist paying for concerts, recitals, instrumentalists/vocalists and choir section leaders in the Parish Choir.

Instruments
In the summer of 2023, we celebrated the completion of our new pipe organ built by Patrick J. Murphy and Associates of Stowe, PA. The instrument consists of 3 manuals and 46 ranks. On November 17, 2023, a dedicatory recital was held and Mr. Tate Addis of Asheville, NC was the recitalist.
There is a 2 manual 3-1/2 rank 1978 Moller pipe organ in the chapel that was installed in summer of 2020.
St. John’s also owns a 5′ 7” 1988 Steinway and Sons piano, a one manual Sabithil and Sons harpsichord and four octaves of Schulmerich handbells.
